Going Medieval... again

It's been a long time since my last post - I'm blaming not just the summer but also various health issues I've had to deal with recently. After such a long break, I thought I'd start easy and simply post some pictures from last weekend.

That was the Medieval weekend in our home town, and our entire clan (all three of us) attended the Medieval Fair around (and in) the castle. This is always one of the most anticipated events of the year for us. We spent two days at the fair, the weather was wonderful, and we had a great time.

A family portrait (plus a few others):

A few details:

Music is always one of my favourite things about Medieval Fairs. You can just sit back and listen, and sometimes the music carries you away, into another place and time...

My daughter's favourite thing are the animals (there were horses and ponies, donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits and a calf, a hen and a rooster):

 Vikings are coming!

I found myself a cute little axe! :)

    1. Thank you, Kathy. :) Yes, it was a lot of fun as always - and over the years attending the fair has become something of a hobby that we three share, which is really nice. :)

    1. Thank you! :) I love my gown and always receive many compliments when wearing it (it even won the best costume competition at the fair two years in a row). Unfortunately, it is beginning to show some signs of wear and tear. I should either have it properly mended or design or buy a new one, but I can't decide which...
