Autumn scenes

Well, since I posted some winter pictures last winter and even some summer reading pictures, I thought I might as well post some shots of autumn scenes. These are from last weekend:

  1. I like all seasons, after all, living in these parts you can't really escape them, but autumn is definitely my favourite season. Somehow the bittersweet feeling of summer ending is just special and magical.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos - this is what I love about autumn!
    Best wishes,
    Kathy

    1. Thank you, Kathy! :)

I love autumns, too. I wish I could have taken a photo of the evenings, the fading light, the strange luminous gloom... it's just something otherworldly. But no camera can capture it.

      Have a good weekend! :)

  2. Hi Ulla!

I like the one with the cabin... :) Makes you wanna sit on those steps... ;)

Somehow I think I "missed" the autumn equinox this year - as in didn't comment anything or joked about it. ;D But I remember the day. It was beautiful!

    1. Hi i-user! :)

The cabin is actually a sauna... a traditional kind, with no chimney and therefore called a smoke sauna. :)

Ah... I must admit that I "missed" the Autumn Equinox, too... I remember the day, though - it was the first day of my new treatment, so I was in the hospital and spent the rest of the day on the sofa with a book as I was exhausted and dizzy. So I didn't have the energy to do anything special. Still, I did realise what day it was. :)

    2. Oh... yeah... It is a sauna!:D I had noticed the (gas?) lamp and the fish on the wall. (It is a fish, right?) But wasn't really sure about it... Nice photo, anyway. :)

Sorry to hear that you had to go to the hospital for your treatment... :/ But I hope you are feeling better now. The book must have helped at least a little...

      Take care. :)

    3. Yes, it's a fish (not a real one, obviously) and a kerosene lamp. :)

Thanks, I am feeling somewhat better now. I have to go to the hospital for the treatments regularly. First it was every two weeks, then every six weeks and now I've progressed to eight week intervals. Not yet sure if it works, but I hope so. :)
