Belated Happy Mother's Day from me, too! (Let's see if the comments form likes me today ;)) Beautiful pictures, looks like you had a lovely day! Best wishes, Kathy
Yes, the food was delicious! If I'm not mistaken, the salmon was served with a sauce made of white wine and sea-buckthorn. For Mother's Day and Father's Day lunch, the restaurant has an appetizer buffet (a Viking boat laden with salads and other treats). The main course is served to the table, but the dessert is also a sort of buffet - a huge cake - so you have to cut your own piece of cake. Marko cuts generous pieces... and he actually had another piece that was just a big! :D
Thank you for answering my question. ;) That sauce really looked different and beautiful. I had never heard of sea-buckthorn and had to do a quick (re)search. :) As for the restaurant, it seems great! Maybe one day I'll visit it!!! :D (The idea of a Viking boat laden with salads and other treats... ;D) Lovely pictures!!! I could comment on all of them... but I won't! Ufa!!! :D Well, I guess I'll speak again with you soon... :)
Well, I must confess I didn't know the English word for sea-buckthorn and had to look it up. Yes, the restaurant is well worth a visit, even though it isn't completely authentic "Viking cuisine" - they have, for example, potatos and chocolate. :)
Happy Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos!
Thank you!
DeleteAnd happy Mother's Day to you too. :)

I wonder what was wrong with the comment form, but good to see it's working now.
Hi Ulla!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting photos! Seems you had a very special day! :D
(The food seems great, too! What's the "sauce" with that salmon?! And the size of Marko's dessert!!! The restaurant must be very good!!! :))
